KATHY MCCLAIN FOGARTY, C’82
Sister Mary Mark Orr Pioneer Spirit Award

• Kathy McClain Fogarty, C’82, graduated from Saint Mary in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She went on to earn her Master’s of Science in Nutrition. Married to the love of her life Ed Fogarty, brother of USM alumni Cele Fogarty, C’82, deceased.
• Has completed her 38 year career with Department of Veteran Affairs
• Served as CEO for six Veteran Medical Centers. When things needed to be fixed, Kathy was sent in to set the ship aright.
• Appointed by Secretary of Veterans Affairs to Senior Executive Service in 2007
• She received the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Executive, the Vice President Gore Hammer Award for Subsistence Prime Vendor Team, and Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs Scissor Award
• Served as USM Board Member from 2012-2021

JOE CONTRUCCI, C’94
Sister Mary Janet McGilley Service Award

• He has had a 30-year career in multinational retail
• and wholesale business and 23 years at Target Corporation where he is currently the senior vice president of stores
• Joe prides himself on being a strong team builder and has a proven track record developing highly successful teams
• He is a visionary leader and implementor of innovation
• He is a family man that enjoys a good laugh, a good meal, and spending time with the ones he loves
• He served on the national alumni board and also as a USM Board of Trustees Member from 2012-2021
• He always answers the call when we ask him to help out, to speak to students, to pay dorm rooms. Joe is there for Saint Mary.
• Joe is a Saint Marian through and through. His oldest son, Jackson Xavier, named for Mother Xavier Ross, is a sophomore at Saint Mary. His five boys grew up coming to Saint Mary events, always decked out in Saint Mary blue and gold.
