Clara Lemm Brogan, C’45, Concord, New Hampshire, turned 100 on Dec. 31, 2023, and returned for a sold-out Community Players production of The Sound of Music. “I want to be the oldest player to have ever appeared in a Community Players’ show,” she said. Clara is a retired music teacher and loved her four years at Saint Mary. More than 400 people attended her December birthday party, including her first piano student from 1948. The celebration included five generations of her family. Clara is doing well, still playing the piano, and remains very active.

Rosemary Schell Luckett, C’64, Wilmington, Delaware, had three solo exhibits in 2023. She was featured at The Buzz Ware Village Center in Arden, Delaware, Touchstone Gallery in Washington, D.C., and the Da Vinci Art Alliance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Audrey Dick Theisen, C’74, Denver, Colorado, has accepted an appointment to the Denver Special Education Advisory Council Executive (DSEAC – Executive Committee) for the 2023-24 school year.

’80s

Cathy Tutty, C’81, Butte, Montana, was elected to a three-year term as trustee of Kiwanis International, an organization of volunteers dedicated to children and service leadership.

Julianna M. Suh, C’82, Seoul, South Korea, received her PhD in rehabilitation psychology on Aug. 19, 2022.

Francine Orr, C’86, Los Angeles, Calif., was a finalist in the Daily Life category for Picture of the Year International.

Karen McIver, C’87, Steilacoom, Washington, retired after a 36-year career in financial services. Karen is now a full-time watercolor artist. Her work can be found at steilacoomdesign.com.

Angela Reichert, C’87, Billings, Montana, is blessed to spend her days with her grandbabies, 2-year-old Adriel and 1-year-old Arayah.

Lillie Salinas, C’88, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, joined the Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) as the marketing manager.

Davita Wesley Vaughn, C’98, Kansas City, Kansas, recently completed a Masters of Theology/Biblical Studies at Trevecca Nazarene University.

Damian Torres-Botello, C’01, Detroit, Michigan, was named the parochial vicar (local pastor) of Bellarmine Chapel Catholic Parish on the campus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, following his ordination in June 2023 at the Church of the Gesu.

Preston Becker, U’12, Royal Oak, Michigan, has been promoted to director of spiritual care for Ascension Healthcare in the Michigan region. Preston also received the 2023 Emergent Leader Award from the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.

Kathleen Roser, M’13, Clifton, Virginia, is the owner of Reading With Dyslexia, LLC. As a former elementary school teacher who worked in Catholic schools in Virginia, she had the opportunity to become certified in teaching students with dyslexia. Her retirement only lasted three months. She decided to continue using her skills and degree from the University of Saint Mary by opening Reading With Dyslexia, LLC in 2020. “I am thrilled to be making a difference in the lives of these students,” Kathleen said. “To teach a student to read, write, and spell when they could not even recognize the alphabet is a gift from God.”

Macee Trecek Wichman, U’14, Kansas City, Missouri, had a baby girl on Dec. 18, 2023. Amelia Grace was welcomed by Macee, her husband, Kasey, and big sister, Adaline Rose.

Liz Mahon, M’18, Birmingham, Alabama, was recently named as healthcare advisor for Kassouf CPAs and Advisors.
