Steele Hall Opens Doors to Residential Students
Thanks to the support of generous donors, the University of Saint Mary has opened a third residence hall on its Leavenworth Campus. Steele Hall, named by a generous donor in honor of University President Sister Diane Steele, is a two-story, apartment-style building.
Steele Hall has four bedrooms in each unit with a shared kitchenette, dining/living room, and bathroom. The residence hall is open to all students, but juniors, seniors, and graduate students will receive priority.
USM celebrated the new residence hall with a ribbon cutting and blessing ceremony on Aug. 27.
“The University of Saint Mary undergraduate population continues to grow, and we are excited to offer a new living space for our students,” Steele said. “Living on campus is an important part of the student experience. Residential students often build stronger bonds with fellow students and faculty, save on transportation costs, and have more opportunities to actively participate in campus organizations and events. A new residence hall is a win for Saint Mary students and a sign of growth for the university.”
