University of Saint Mary Honors 2024 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

In September, the University of Saint Mary celebrated a prestigious group of alumni whose accomplishments changed the landscape of Spire Athletics.

These seven outstanding athletes broke records, received national recognition, and embodied the values of perseverance, dedication, and excellence.

Mike Finnell, C’01 | Men’s Basketball
Finnell’s dynamic presence on the court was highlighted by his record-setting 75 steals in a single season and 145 three-pointers in a season. His career accolades include KCAC First Team honors and two NAIA Honorable Mention All-American awards. Finnell remains second in career three-pointers made (231) and third in career steals (134).

Alison Bradford Quisenberry, U’05 | Softball
Quisenberry’s excellence in softball is underscored by her back-to-back KCAC 1st Team honors in 2004 and 2005, as well as being named USM Female Athlete of the Year in 2005. She made her mark on Spires softball as an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention and All-Region 1st Team selection.

Morgan Johann, U’07 | Baseball
Johann’s legacy on the diamond is cemented by his .372 career batting average – the highest in school history. He also remains second in single-season batting average (.478) and career stolen bases (47). His KCAC First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention selections highlight his consistent performance throughout his career. Johann was also named to the NAIA All-Region First Team in 2007.

Carvelle Taylor, U’09 | Men’s Basketball
Known for his scoring prowess, Taylor ranks second in school history for single-season three-pointers made (100). His leadership on the court earned him the KCAC Player of the Year award in 2009, along with First Team All-KCAC and NAIA All-American Second Team honor

Mike Keese, U’12 | Football
As the all-time leader in single-season passing yards (3,638), Keese is one of the top quarterbacks in USM history. With over 10,000 career passing yards and 72 touchdowns, Keese earned two KCAC First Team honors and the coveted KCAC Offensive Player of the Year award in 2012.

Christian Graham, U’18 | Cross Country/Track
A 2017 NAIA National Champion in the marathon, Graham dominated in long-distance running. His achievements include four KCAC All-Conference honors and two NAIA Cross Country All-American awards. His accomplishments set the standard for future Spires runners.

Tony Weber, U’18 | Cross Country/Track
Weber’s speed and endurance made him a force in competition, winning the 2018 NAIA Marathon National Championship and recording the fastest half-marathon time in school history (1:07:44). With three KCAC First Team honors, three Cross Country NAIA All-American selections, and three Track NAIA All-American awards, he is one of the most decorated runners in school history.
