Honoring the Support of Archbishop Keleher

The Learning Commons will honor a life-long supporter of Catholic higher education, Archbishop James Keleher. He has been a great friend to our region’s Catholic high schools, elementary schools, and institutions of higher learning, while he also helped nurture the vision of the Catholic Education Foundation in Kansas during his tenure at the helm of the Archdioceses of Kansas City in Kansas. Archbishop Keleher has shown particular affinity to Saint Mary and its mission and vision, so much so that a named scholarship has been endowed and funded through his generosity. Most recently, the archbishop was present to bless the opening of Charles J. Berkel Memorial Stadium—one of the university’s most recent and significant successes in improving the on-campus experience for our students.
