During a time marked by uncertainty and change, the University of Saint Mary is helping to develop forward-thinking educational leaders.
One of USM’s newest programs, the Doctor of Education in Leadership, has a unique focus on innovation. The terminal degree program, which welcomed its first cohort in September, offers two concentrations designed for seasoned educators: Innovative Leadership in Higher Education and Innovation in Curriculum and Instruction.
“The USM EdD program was designed with working professionals in mind,” Program Director Elizabeth Youngs, SCL, said. “Our innovative curriculum empowers educators to become effective leaders and transform educational structures. USM graduates will have the tools to bring about positive change at their institutions and improve opportunities for the students they serve.”
The doctorate program will prepare graduates for leadership positions in higher education and provide qualifications to teach graduate courses in a variety of service areas.
Courses are offered on-ground at the USM Overland Park Campus and remotely in several states across the country.
