Senior Adeline Pagán Sánchez Uses Artwork to Encapsulate USM Experience USM graduate and art student Adeline Pagán Sánchez

Digital prints, oil paintings, and watercolors lined the walls of the University of Saint Mary Goppert Gallery in April. But the pieces weren’t simply artwork – they were memories.

Graphic design major Adeline Pagán Sánchez showed her work during USM’s annual Senior Art Student Exhibition from April 23-27 on the Leavenworth campus. The show, “Momento,” served as a collection of the feelings and memories Pagán Sánchez hopes to preserve from her time at USM.

“I wanted to have a way to remember these past four years that did not involve plain pictures,” she said. “These pieces are a little token that will help me remember important life experiences.”

Pagán Sánchez also received the top prize for one of her pieces in the USM Miller Award Art Exhibition in May. Her digital pattern entitled “I Like Your Shoes” received high praise from juror Johanna Winters and Art Program Director Kate Horvat.
